Well, once again comes the weekends.. And yeah, which will mean a beginning of a new week after that.. Weekends always ends very fast, whereas weekdays takes it's own sweet time to go by..
Ha, whatever it is, I would just like to summarize my first week here after a month of semester break.. So here goes..
Well, every week begins with a sunday as we all know, but I am going to start it on monday instead.. Heh.. Because that's where it really all began.. Monday - class started at 9.30 - Pengajian Malaysia. Had a little problem finding the class, because it was at a Block which I rarely went before this, and the classroom, or in this case, the lecture room, was towards the end of that Block, so I got kind of lost.. Haha.. So much for having studied there for a year.. Malu.. zZz
Finally found the class, entered it, sat with my friend, who is majoring in Chinese. Wait, I thought to myself, how's that possible? I'm majoring in English, and he's majoring in Chinese, so how is it....? Immediately I knew the answer. It was a combination of both the language classes, so that was how it was. Then came the part where I was chosen as a course rep.. Man, I do not want to go into that again..
Had my second class right after the first class.. Wau.. Introduction To Linguistics.. Kind of interesting.. Well, it's only the first week, so not really into the lesson yet. We shall wait for a few more weeks before making a proper evaluation of that subject.. lOl.. Oo yea.. Did I mentioned that my class ends at 7pm? Woohoo.. =.=
That night itself, the church (Campus Connect CGBC) had a dinner for the newbies of UTAR. Met many juniors, some that I knew, and some that were strangers to me.. Well, did not really get to know all of them.. My bad really, cause I did not make an effort to.. Haha.. Went to CC with a few others to play computer games.. Well, to make it more specific, DOTA.. Won one, lost one.. Won the first one with my favourite hero, lost the second with my second choice hero.. Ish
Day 2, Week 1 - Tuesday, 27th May - Subject for that day is Structure And Grammar of English. Hmm.. What can I say about that day I do not know.. Well, kind of forgotten what happened that day really.. Skip
Day 3, Week 1 - Wednesday, 28th May - Subject - Introduction to Mass Communication. A subject that I'v learned during my first semester in my foundation year. Lecturer taught back some of the basics of that subject.. Well, for the newbies case, it's new for them.. Anyway, had CF later, though by the time I joined it was already late, cause they started the CF earlier than my class ended so.. Haha.. Couldn't find the place of the meeting either, because they changed venue.. Went all the way to Block B, only to find out that it is in Block E instead.. zZz.. Boy was i tired.. Went back, dropped on my bed..
Day 4, Week 1 - Thursday, 29th May - Phonetics and Phonology was the subject for that day. Boy was the lecturer strict.. Haha.. Nice lady, but strict in her ways.. Well, not that I really mind.. This subject is interesting too, but if I were to explain it, it's take a very long time, so I will not go into it.. Had tutorials too, even though we were not suppose to have it. Was also interesting.. Had service as usual on that night itself.. Had a lot of newcomers.. Praise The Lord! Haha.. Hope they will come everyweek..
Day 5, Week 1 - Friday, 30th May - Subject - nil. Haha.. Did not had class today because there is only a tutorial class.. And since the first week did not have tt, so.. Haha.. Enjoyed the day by blogging, playing, downloading, blogging, playing and blogging again.. Haha..
Aha.. Weekend is tomorrow (or rather it's now, ZzZ). Will be going back to Ipoh, and coming back next Monday.. Yeah.. More things to do, like.. Well, I do not know what really.. All I know is, I will have to brace myself for the week ahead.. Think I will find it amazing if I even have the time to even blog or play.. Well..
Okie dokie, till the next post..
Oo yeah, did I tell you that this week, after all the classes I have attended, I found out that my English sucks Big Time? And I mean, TOTALLY SUCKS, BIG TIME.. Goodnight =)

Life of a class rep - The story so far..
Yup.. In my previous post, I mentioned about being chosen as a class rep.. No, in fact, it's COURSE rep.. haha.. Not much of a difference really.. But anyway, yeah, this is my story so far..
Being a course rep means there are certain do's and don't.. So here we go..
Do's (or in this case, the word is responsiblity) :
- photostat notes for class
- take laptop and projector for lecturers to use
* and set it up, of course
- must have correct attitude
Don'ts :
- no skipping classes (sobz)
- don't think I can be late either
Haha.. That's all I can think of at the moment.. Heard there are also meetings for reps.. Walau wei.. Need meh? zZz
Current things are a bit of a mess.. I use "a bit" because it's not a big problem.. Yet.. Heh.. There is no confirmation of how many students are there, doubts on whether there will be more new students coming in, and perhaps students leaving too.. One consolation.. It's only the first week, so I do not mind.. Things should start to settle down somewhere in the middle of next month.. Hopefully..
Another problem I have, which I hope can be settled soon, heh.. It's recognizing my coursemates faces.. I can't tell who is new, and who is not.. But this should not be an issue by next month.. Again, hopefully..
However, one thing's for sure.. It can be exhausthing, or tiring.. Having to do the photostat means running around, making sure it's done, remebering to collect it, and also making sure that everyone has a copy, otherwise they'll keep chasing me for it.. Haha.. =)
Hmm.. What other things that I had experienced this week I forgotten.. But one thing's for sure.. I'm definitely going to need God's help in everyway possible.. When there are too many things to handle at one time, I lose myself.. And I can't do that, otherwise.. Well, you know.. But if you do not know.. Well..
Alright dear readers, that's all I have for the moment.. God bless you people. Out

Tiring Day.. Again.. =)
Hey people.. Yeah, I'm back! Woohoo! Back in Kampar, starting a new semester.. Haha.. Bit of a hectic day, lots of unexpected happened.. Well, not a lot, but still.. yeah.. So here it goes..
Woke up at 7.15 in the morning.. Was kind of lazy to wake up, but 5 minutes later, I got myself moving.. Packed up the remaining stuffs, then off I went.. Man, you do not know how much I missed driving on the highway, and the road here to Kampar.. =) Anyway, reached Kampar.. Got bit lost in Block A because I did not know where to look for the timetable.. Skip.. Went to my first class.. And this is where it gets intereting..
Saw a couple of my friends and sat with them.. It was Pengajian Malaysia that time, mean the subject.. Since everything starts from the beginning again, meaning there is no class or course rep, so the lecturer decidedto pick one. The subject is a LAN unit, which combined to courses together - the Chinese course and the English course.. in other words, both the language courses.. The class rep for the Chinese course was chosen, because someone voluntered, so it was left to the English course to choose theirs. They keep quiet, not wanting to choose or elect someone.
I do not blame them, because I was also one of them.. Haha.. To cut the story short, I got it instead.. And yeah.. There begins the adventure of being a course rep.. A COURSE rep for crying out loud.. Well, since we do not have tutorial during the first week, so have to choose a rep during lecture.. Bit difficult to explain this.. Never mind.. Ha.. Well, started my duty of being a class rep.. Photocopy notes for the rest of my coursemates, keeping laptop nad projector, and others.. Got into a biof a mess already on the first day, but do hope for the best other days..
My class on monday finishes at 7.. Wau.. Thats crazy man.. Class starts at 9.30, so.. Woo.. Long day.. Other days are ok, not so bad.. Latest is 5.30, so.. After class, went to Campus Connect to have dinner with juniors.. Haha.. Dota after that.. GG though.. And now here..
Well, that's all I have for today.. I can't write what has not happen.. lOl.. okie dokie then.. Out!..

From what I heard from my friends, well.. It's scary alright. Scared the daylight out of me it did.. And as I'm typing this, I feel scared.. Ah well.. I haven't started my sem yet.. Starts on monday, 26th May 2008.. An adventure has gone, a new has come.. Will have to ask the Lord to continue to guide me then.. Do not know what my timetable will be, but first class will be in block D.. That's a bit furture than where I normally have my class.. Looks like Kampar is not going to be a peaceful place anymore.. Haha.. zZz.. Well then.. Adios!

ZZZ.. haha.. =)
Hihi.. I’m back again after quite a while of absence.. heh.. Internet not working, which was why I did not have much chance to go online.. Ok.. I was lazy to post a blog.. However, since my semester has almost come to an end, I decided to post one more blog before I go back to Kampar.. Yeah.. Summary of my entire semester break..
Well, there isn’t anything much to say or talk about my semester break.. Kind of boring.. Not really an eventful sem break, though things do happen don’t they? No matter how boring it can be, there are things that are bound to happen.. Hmm.. Where should I begin?
Ah.. Guess I’ll just jumble it up den.. Well, did the usual stuffs, or should I say, typical human everyday activity: ate, slept, and play. heh.. Others: drive, blog, wash car… zzz.. Bet you don’t want to hear it.. BORING.. haha
Hmm.. There is one thing I want to Praise God for though.. It was on Wednesday, 21st May.. I was fetching my brother home from school using the motorbike.. Well, didn’t really want to use it at first, considering the way the weather looked.. Well, it was cloudy, and looked like it wanted to rain, and something prompted me in my heart to use the car.. Well, I ended up using the bike instead.. On my way home, CABOOM!... GGfied.. It rained! I took out my rain coat, my brother saying that he does not need his. Fine. Riding halfway, I decided to stop by a petrol station. Man, the rain coat did not prevent me from getting wet.. Rain still continued pouring.. I decided that I can’t wait no more... Reached home eventually, but the both of us were entirely wet. Had a hot bath, den rested.. Man, was I exhausted.. Tired too.. Not easy to ride under heavy rain..
The thing I want to Praise God for is, that He has watched over me throughout the journey from the part where it started to rain.. Anything could have happened during that period of time.. but nothing happened.. Praise God man, that He kept the both of us safe..
Other than that, hmm.. Nothing much really.. Had drum lessons, watched Ironman and Narnia, spent more money than I expected.. Bought a new ‘toy’ - a guitar kapok – other events, too lazy to recall and post it here..
Well, two winners today (Thursday, 22nd May) – David Cook winning the American Idol - congrats, and Manchester United winning the Champions League title, congrats too.. Terry cry?.. haha.. missed penalty, no wonder.. harsh.. aiyo.. shevchenko missed also did not cry, what more – AC Milan were 3-0 up, and lost the entire CL title just like that.. And sheva also missed an absolute sitter which would have won Milan the tile, being denied twice by dudek.. come on, be a man la.. Drog red carded for slapping vidic? wau.. amazing.. why am I not surprised?..
Alright.. think that’s all from me at the moment.. few more days till my return to kampar, and the beginning of a new semester.. woohoo! chaoziyo! =)

The Season Ending Summary
This season has yet again come to an end. As usual, or should I say, typical of every season, a lot has happened. Managers being hired and fired – Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho being the biggest casualty/departure – players being bought and sold, referees being accused of making wrong decisions in terms of sending players off, or making a bad call – usually penalties – etc.. Well, almost all the same things happen every season. This season, however, popped up a couple of surprises.
First of all, was the early form of Arsenal. A very young squad, and especially after the departure of their club captain and legend Thierry Henry to Barcelona, many expect them to struggle. They however, prove the critics wrong, scoring goals, playing typical “Arsenal” football, and having quite a gap at the top of the league at the early stage of the season. Many people, including the manager Arsene Wenger himself, though this was going to be the Gunner’s season.
As the season wore on, there will come a period of time where managers will leave due to poor results on the pitch. And so it began – Billy Davies leaving Derby County, Martin Jol fired from Tottenham, and others including Lawrie Sanchez (Fulham), Sam Allardyce (Newcastle), and Sammy Lee (Bolton). There were also managers who left for another club: Paul Jewell departed from Wigan to replace Davies at Derby, while Steve Bruce left Birmingham City to replace Jewell at Wigan. However, none of theses departures were able to compare to the biggest departure of the season – as mentioned earlier – the Special One.
Next, was the surprising goal scoring form of certain players. Notable names are the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Emmanuel Adebayor, and at the earlier stage of the season, Francesc Fabregas. However, there are two other players, who are new to the league scored almost as many goals, yet being new to the league – Roque Santa Cruz and Fernando Torres.
These two players, who signed from Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid to Blackburn Rovers and Liverpool respectively, have shined for their clubs while others players struggled to, in terms of goal scoring. Santa Cruz, who struggled to hold a place in Bayern, showed that he still has some goal scoring instinct with him, bagging 20 odd goals. As for Torres, well, need I say more? I have posted a blog about him, entitled “Fernando Torres – First Season Summary”. Read it from there. It should be below this blog.
Other notable “surprises”, well, the inverted comas, was the sudden turn in form of Matthieu Flamini. Suddenly turning into one of the best midfielders in the league, he became a key player to the team. Well, he left for AC Milan. That’s another surprise. Wishing him all the best in Italy then.. Chelsea bidding £80 million for Barcelona star Lionel Messi.. So typical of them isn’t it? Just how desperate are they? Anyway, they just signed a player from FC Porto, Bosingwa. Well, whatever…
Well, I’m sure there are lot more surprises but I can’t remember all, so let me just give you readers the overall summary of this season: Manchester United fought Chelsea to the last game of the season to defend their EPL title, while at the other end of the table, Fulham, completed the “Great Escape” by beating Porstmouth in their final game of the season, in which saw Reading, Birmingham City, and Derby County being relegated to the championship. Chelsea were runner up; Arsenal finishing third, while Liverpool fourth. Everton finished fifth to grab the UEFA Cup spot.
Well, the season overall hasn’t really ended yet. There is still the All English Champions League Final between Manchester United and Chelsea, while the FA Cup Final will feature Porstmouth versus Cardiff City. Footie fans still can enjoy the Italian Seria A, which is also going down to the wire, where Inter Milan and AS Roma are fighting for the tile.
Ah, even after this season ends, there will still be football to enjoy, which is the EURO 2008, although many of the fans I’m sure will be missing a PARTICULAR TEAM which will not feature in this competition. But whatever, they did not qualify, so we should not mourn for them. heh..
Alright, that’s all I have for you.. Bye bye season 07/08, welcome season 08/09.. Out
*Ps - the missing team - I'm sure you footie fans know which team I'm talking about - but for those who do not know, it's England...

Fernando Torres - 1st season summary
The season is coming to an end.. Well, a not so happy ending for Liverpool FC, as they leave this season empty-handed. However, there are some positive things to take out of this season, and dude, do you still need me to say it? Well, I'll say it, for the sake of readers who are not football fans..
There were many great signings this season - Roque Santa Cruz for Blackburn, did well for his first season here, Craig Gordon (Sunderland), also did well.. Not forgetting Elano and Martin Petrov of Manchester City.. Well, these are the few names that I can only recall.. However, none of these players can compare to what this player has done for this particular club.. And if there is a reward for the best signing of the season, he will definitely win it, no doubt, hands down.. He needs no introduction either.. Yup.. You footie fans got it right (or, I assume you got it right).. It's Spain’s very own El Nino - Fernando Torres.
Up to date and final count - 33 goals in 47 matches and counting (last match and last goal- Tottenham Hotspur) - including 3 hattricks (Reading, Middlesbrough, and West Ham United), scoring two of the hattricks in two consecutive home games, and also breaking the 20 goal barrier that was last scored that many a few seasons ago by another legendary number 9, Robbie Fowler, in the English Premier League.
Also, in his 1st season, he is already among the contenders for the PFA Player of the Year, and the Writer’s Player of the Year award though it was won by Cristiano Ronaldo. In other words, he has arguably the finest debut season ever a foreign import could have in one's first season in the English football.
Names like Henry, Nilsterooy, Bergkamp, Drogba, Berbatov, and many others took a while before they became great names of the English football, some did not even survived (Forlan, Morientes). Torres was different however. It seems as if he was made for the EPL. Some say he will have problems, some say he will not – that he can adapt well. And he did. It did not took long for him to score his 1st official goal – which was against Chelski (defense splitting pass by Gerrard, slotted it at the right bottom corner of goal) - and ever since then he has never looked back. Suffered an injury during the 1st quarter of the season, but even that did not stop him. Got his first hattrick during a Carling Cup game against Reading (and man, didn't he took it well). Got the Player of the Month award for February, and the goals just kept coming.
Not only did he scored goals, he assisted too.. And combining with club captain Steven Gerrard, they both scored a total of 54 goals between them.. And man, that is a dam lot of goals from two players alone.. He was also one of the main factors that Liverpool has scored more than a 100 goals this season - well, 119 to be exact - contributing at least a quarter of it..
All I can say is, this dude has already made his name in the history book of Anfield – recently adding another by equaling Roger Hunt’s record of scoring in 8 consecutive home games.. And now that he has scored 24 goals in the EPL, makes him the record breaker of a foreigner scoring the most goals in his first season, which was previously held by Nilstelrooy (23 goals). In other words, he has proven his worth, and value too.
Well, he has proven this season to be a prolific goal scorer. Let’s just hope that he can continue on during the next season. If he does keep this up, well.. What more can I say? He’ll join the likes of Rush, Daglish, Fowler and many other Reds legend in the history book of Anfield as one of the greats of Liverpool. Good luck boy.. And God speed.
