Fabio Capello has become the new England manager. The former AC Milan, AS Roma, Juventus, and Real Madrid coach takes over from the sacked Steve McLaren, who failed to take England to the EURO 2008. Main question is - is he the right man?
An experienced man at the age of 61, some people still have doubts about him, and managers like Southgate, Coppell are against the idea of having yet another foreign manager as England coach. Well well, all they do is just talk isn't it? I can never understand this people. The FA is doing what is best for the country's football, and all they ever do is criticise, and make a dam big issue about it.. TO Southgate and Coppell - why don't you suggest a better name other than the likes of Jose, Capello, Lippi and O'Neill? Or why don't you offer yourself to the England job? are you too chicken? or are you fearing of the very fact that you know the FA do not want you? Or are you critizising as of in other words you want the FA to choose you?(in your dreams though)
I seroiuly do not like it when people who are less experience than others critizising those who are chosen. Give him a break man, for crying out loud. Capello hasn't even started his job yet (he will only start in Jan) . Let him prove himself first. And the talk about wanting to choose a local manager. Give me a name capable of coaching England - Pierce, Hoddle, Venables? Name me an English manager who has led a team to gloryin the past 7 years - the closes was Steve himself in the UEFA Cup, which however, landed in a lost.
To Capello - do your best. You know that you have the support of the FA, the players and the country. Show these people want you are made of. Even if you fail, tell yourself that you have done your best.
To the FA - You have chosen a good and quality manager. Don't take in the words of the other managers too seroiusly, knowing that you have made a good choice. Have faith.
To the players - You know what to do.
And last but not least, to all the England fans - God bless Capello and English football. ^^
