And here... we... go!! Again...

[Anwar, however, conceded that it was important to master English and agreed that there should be constructive steps taken to improve the usage and understanding of the language.

“But how we do it should be decided by educationists and with consideration towards the national education policy.

“This includes not forcing our children to pass English as a compulsory subject in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) as this will result in many students, especially in rural areas, to fail,” added Anwar.]

Here we go again.

Just weeks ago, I shared about the importance of English Language, and here is a politician, who is supporting the idea that English is NOT a "must pass" subject. Whatever for?

Just to get people to vote for him?

In all due respect Mr. Anwar, English is a MUST PASS subject. The heck it matters if it's in the rural area, where perhaps the people there might not have enough money to send their kids to school. Why use the rural people as an excuse? What about those from the urban areas? Tell me you don't mean that they don't have to pass either. Best thing is, we've got to PASS BM, a language that's only used in MALAYSIA HELLO. And you're supporting the idea that an international language should not be a "must-pass". What's wrong with you? And by the way, please tell me you passed English.

Also, just like what a friend has said before, if tourists come to our country, and finds out that we speak broken English, what would they think of us? Dude, these people are bound to ask for directions, make enquiries, and you want to speak broken English with them? Gracious me, get out of here man. "Tau tak "spoiling the image of our country?" Padan muka tau". And goodness, you ain't going to speak BM with them. That's a definite "NO NO". I so PROMISE YOU, they are NOT going to UNDERSTAND.A.DAMN.WORD. you say in that language.

So please, English a not "must-pass" subject? Think again.

Idiots...

Sickening isn't it, when people quarrel? What are they quarreling for? For their rights, and because they think they are right. It's fine if it's worth quarreling, but what if it's over small, patty issues? Just so sick when people quarrel over things like "Don't give me so much food", "Why did you throw the rubbish here?", "Why didn't you do this/that?". Of course, there is no certainty of to what extend is worth quarreling, but heck. It's still quarreling. So I came up, with THIS:

"Only idiots will try to fight for their rights when it's not worth it."

I'm an idiot too. ^^

Father's Day Special

Yeah, I know it's a little late, but here's a post for Father's Day.

Fathers are special people in our lives. It's through them (I will not explain scientifically) that we are here on this Earth. Of course, God is behind everything but, you've just got to thank them for their part. If they chose to remain single, man, there wouldn't be a next generation.

Fathers are special people in our lives. They watch over our every growth: they make sure that we are able to take every small baby step, be fed well, grow up properly, get the right education, study in the correct enviroment, and live in the right society.

Fathers are special people in our lives. They make sure that we get our things done properly: make sure that we get good grades, checking on us whether we met certain requirements, so that in the future it can help us in certain ways. They also teach about what are the certain, crucial decisions we have to make, and warn us about what can happen in the future. All these, because they love us, and do not want us to make the same mistakes.

I have to say, that some of the things that our fathers say or do we may not understand. We can only understand them when we ourselves (referring to only guys by the way) become fathers one day. It's only then, we understand the true meaning of being a father.

Fathers are special people in our lives. However, I did not say that all fathers are perfect, so if you do not have a father that matches the description above, my symphathy. But then again, no humans are perfect right? So just try to accept them the way they are.

-Happy Father's Day-

Salvation Is Here - Hillsong United

God above all the world in motion,
God above all my hopes and fears,
Well I don't care what the world throws at me now,
It's gonna be alright

Hear the sounds of the generatorions,
Making loud our freedom song,
All in all that the world will know Your name,
We're gonna be alright!

Cause I know my God saved the day,
And I know His word never fails,
And I know my God made a way for me,
Salvation is here.

Salvation is here,
Salvation is here and it lives in me,
Salvation is here,
Salvation in God means to set me free,
Salvation is here,
Salvation is here and it lives in me,
Salvation is here,
Cause you are alive and you live in me!
Salvation is here,
Salvation is here and it lives in me,
Salvation is here,
Cause you are alive and you live in me!

Problemo...

Salmons
They swim against the current
Using their God-given ability
To go UP waterfalls
And for what?
To mate and lay eggs?
They do not know
What awaits them up there
A hungry bear
Waiting to pounce
Or any other predator at all
Waiting to feed on them
Yet despite knowing this
They STILL wouldn't give up
'Cause they know
That if they make it
It will be worth while

Amazed

You dance over me
While I am unaware
You sing all around
But I
Never hear a sound

Lord I'm amazed by You
Lord I'm amazed by You
Lord I'm amazed by You
And how You love me

You paint the morning sky
With miracles in mind
My hope will always stand
For You hold me in Your hand

How deep
How wide
How great
Is Your love for me

Forever - Hillsong United

I worship at Your Throne
Whisper my own love song
With all my heart I'll sing
For You my Dad and King

I'll live for all my days
To put a smile on Your face
And when we finally meet
It'll be for eternity

And Oh
How wide You open up Your amrs
When I need Your love
How far You would come
If ever I was lost
You said it all
You feel for me
This undying love
That You show through the Cross

I worship You my God
I worship You my God
I love You
I love You
Forever I will sing
Forever I will
Be with You
Be with You

How is this even possible?

"A pass in English has never been compulsory in SPM."

Retrieved from The Star Online, 10th June 2009

Now I know why. Why the level of English is so poor in Malaysia.

To those who do not have good command in English, please forgive me. I'm not condemming you here.

However, how can this be even made possible?! How can English not be made a "must pass" subject? And yet the Government wants people to pass BM at least. This is UTTER CRAP.

And our Deputy Prime Minister, who is also the Education Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, was suprised about this, and wants public view of this matter. I want to quote my friend here: "Is there any need to ask the public anymore?"

The obvious answer is a big NO. No question about it. There's no need to ask the public for their views. Please DPM, if you are sharing our PM's passion of being the people's PM, then for this case you are making a big mistake. English IS a must pass subject. How is it possible that you make an internationally used language a not necessary "must pass" paper, yet you want a language only used here in Malaysia a "must pass"? It so doesn't make sense.

And guess what? After asking the public's view, many are against making this paper a "must pass subject". Like what Dr. Mahathir said, not making English a "must pass" subject will spoil the future of Malaysians. And it is so true. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you the importance of English.

Please, if you are going to make BM SO important, I suggest you put more importance to English for crying out loud! Imagine this: Someone does not pass his English paper, but wants to go overseas. Do you think that person will be even qualified to do so? Forget about dreams of going to places like UK or America, not even Australia or New Zealand will want that student. Why? Because he failed his English. Simple.

To whoEVER made this damn rule, TWO.SIMPLE.WORDS.

Need For Speed

Riding on a normal road is fun, but riding on the highway is an undescribable BLISS.

Or at least, that's what it is to me.

Many say that riding a motor is a dangerous business; you're so vulnerable to your surroundings: Nature, vehicles around you etc. Even sometimes when you take it safe, it can prove fatal. For me, I just enjoy it. I don't know why, but I do.

Especially on the highway.

Highway gives you the chance to ride your ass out, and although there is no chance to compete against most vehicles on the road, you'll get the last laugh when it comes to traffic jam. Here are the pros and cons.

Pros:
1. You may not be able to be a Ghost Rider, but you still can enjoy the speed. In a vehicle, you can't feel it unless you are driving at a high speed. On a motorbike, 80 km/h is enough.
2. You get to overtake many vehicles during traffic jams, and depending on how bad it is, you could go way ahead of them. Don't try racing with them during normal conditions though, unless you have a super bike (like Batman? Lol)

Cons:
1. Your ass hurts worse than sitting in a lecture hall listening to class, or during an examination. Seriously it does. Guess it's because you're sitting directly below the engine, so throughout the whole journey, it vibrates your ass.
2. At the same time, after the journey, you would feel that your body doesn't belong to you. Your entire blood stream will be rushing all over, and even though you wouldn't get pins-and-needles surprisingly, you'd feel WEIRD.
3. As said earlier, your surroundings can affect you or cost your life. Strong winds means you have to slow down, otherwise your bike will be unbalance. Rain is also dangerous, as it makes the road slippery, meaning that you have to either slow down, or slow RIGHT down, a.k.a stop completely. This will also slow down your progress to a particular destination.
4. Also, big vehicles like buses and trucks/lorrys can be dangerous as well. I'm not sure if it's me or the drivers of these vehicles, but big vehicles like these can now go very fast, even with a heavy load. So, when they go past you, it's like a big wave pushing you aside. THAT is also dangerous.
5. Of course, there's no need for me to stress on this. It is dangerous, because you're riding on two wheels, and going at 80km/h, a slight contact from any vehicle at all, can make you wish you were never born.

Having said all these, even though there are more cons than pros, I STILL love riding motorbike, 'cause it's FUN. Well, hence the title. ;D

Ps: Speaking of which, there is a record that I would never break. 18 minutes from Ipoh to Kampar, at _ _ _km/h, UNDER.THE.RAIN. I'll leave you to guess what are the blanks, and who is he (clue). He's among the list of "Fellow Bloggers" on your left. But man, he's sure a daredevil. He gets my vote for "Ghost Rider".

(Daredevil when reading this: "GG! Ahhaha. I'm going to kill him when I come back!)

"I mean, what happened? Did your b**** dropped off? Hmm? You see, a guy like me..."

"Freak."

Sense and Sensibility...

It's time
To be sensible
Yeah I know it's kind of late
But it's not too late either right?
It has been said before
Pocrastination should not exist
In one's vocabulary
'Cause if it does
It will
BRING.YOU.DOWN
Or that's what it did to me
And God's reminding me again
Through certain people
(You know who you are)
That I have to buck up again
I may have escaped once
But I may not escape again
And this semester
Is a beginning of new things
New hope
New optimism
New belief
'Cause if I continue to be like this
I.WILL.DIE.

I need sense and sensibility. Blek
